Meet Shauna.
Before there was Alohi Aesthetics, there was a girl who's notebook was filled with hand-drawn spa layouts and big dreams.
I guess you can say manifesting your dreams is real. But it only works if you make it happen. Because years later I built just that.
I received my esthetics license in 2007 and spent the years that followed building skills, raising a family as a single mom of two, and falling deeply in love with the craft of lash extensions. I opened Alohi Aesthetics in Maui in 2014 — a boutique studio where every appointment was treated with the same care and precision I'd want for myself.
"I didn't want clients to just leave looking good. I wanted them to leave feeling like themselves — only better."
For ten years, the studio was my heart. Fully booked, deeply personal, and rooted in the kind of one-on-one care you can only offer when you genuinely love what you do. Every client was a relationship. Every set of lashes a small act of making people feel good inside and out.
In 2023, the Lahaina fires changed everything for our community. It was a season of grief, reflection, and re-evaluation — for all of us on Maui. That, along with welcoming my third child, led me to make the decision to close the studio in 2024 and step into a new chapter.
Ten years. Thousands of clients. More memories than I can count. I'm endlessly grateful for every person who trusted me with their lashes, their brows, and their time.
Running this studio was one of the greatest privileges of my life. Thank you for being a part of my journey.
I spent countless hours imagining spaces, experiences, and the kind of business I hoped to build one day. Looking back now, I realize I was designing my future long before I knew it.
In 2014, with a lot of faith and a whole lot of action, I opened my very first beauty studio. It became more than a business—it became a place where I had the privilege of helping people feel beautiful, confident, and seen.

2007
full of plans and exactly zero clients. Then the recession hit. The beauty industry went quiet overnight, and I did what I had to do:
Became a certified web designer.
2010
I taught myself web design and started building websites for local businesses just to pay the bills. It felt like a detour at the time. It turned out to be the foundation for everything.
Became a mom!
2011-2013
My most humbling job yet. I love being a mom.
